Deli News Story
Bringing New York Deli Tradition to Dallas
Deli News was founded with a passion for bringing the authentic New York deli experience to the heart of Texas. Our story begins in 1987 with a vision to offer classic deli food and bakery delights to the vibrant Dallas community. Rooted in Jewish-Russian traditions, we strive to provide a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests can savor the flavors of tradition. From sit-down service to grab-and-go options, we serve mouthwatering breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, soups, salads, and baked goods.

At Deli News, we are committed to preserving the essence of a New York deli while embracing the spirit of Dallas. Our extensive menu is loaded with authentic Russian-Jewish favorites such as latkes, kugels, and matzo ball soup, along with hybrids like challah-bread French toast. Our triple-decker sandwich packs enough pastrami to fill the Cowboys Stadium, and our bakery offers take-home treats, including a decadent onion loaf. The no-frills décor is just more evidence that we take our food seriously.

Everything at Deli News is made from scratch, right down to our pickles. We bake our breads and bagels fresh daily and offer gluten-free options. Try our corned beef or pastrami Reuben, served with homemade potato salad. Behind the counter, the chalkboard menu reads like those of New York delicatessens, featuring hand-sliced lox, matzo ball soup, chopped liver, potato latkes, and franks. Our wide selection offers something to delight every taste bud.
Come taste why we have been voted the best deli in Dallas by D Magazine, Dallas Observer, and USA Today. Join us for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. We offer take-out, delivery, and catering services—from office lunches to wedding parties.
